The year 2016 is definitely a year of nostalgia as our favorite shows like 'Gilmore Girls' and 'F.R.I.E.N.D.S.' are recently confirmed to be coming back on screen; and now, reports say that teen show 'Dawson's Creek' reunion could also be possibly in the works.
Hollywood Life, in its report, said that since many 90's shows are coming back, 'Dawson's Creek' should at least do a reunion, which could be in the form of a single episode, a movie or a simple tribute to Kevin Williamson.
Recently in an interview with "The Insider," Joshua Jackson, who played Pacey Witter, shared his thoughts about the possibility of a reunion. He said, "Well, that depends. [Show creator] Kevin Williamson would have to ask."
And while fans are really hopeful for a "Dawson's Creek" reunion, the problem is that Jen Lindley played by Michelle Williams is already dead and it would not really be a "reunion" without her.
Joshua Jackson, however, who is into the idea of a reunion suggested a way to solve the Jen Lindley conundrum, saying, "People always forget that Michelle Williams' Jen character was killed off, so they really need to figure out a way around that."
"I guess she could come back as a ghost, or they could do it like 'Dallas' did and have someone wake up and find her alive in the shower 20 years later. That could work!" Jackson added.
And aside from Jen's ghost, Refinery29 says fans will be pleased to see a breakup/makeup Joey-Parcey story and Dawson having lunch with old pal, Steven Spielberg.
And while Katie Holmes who played Joey Potter seems less enthusiastic last year about the idea of a reunion, fans are still hoping she could have a change of heart.
"['Dawson's Creek'] was such a special time in all of our lives [but] some things are better when it stays the way it was," Holmes previously told Ocean Drive magazine. "I would love to get together with everybody, [but] I'm not sure a reunion would be as fulfilling as what we all want it to be."
The actress, however, said she's also into it, "I'm game for anything. I don't really regret anything that I've done. I've learned from everything, and everything, and everything sort of leads you to the next place. I just keep going."
