It was previously announced that "Dark Souls 3" will be available by April of this year but a definite date wasn't revealed yet.
Polygon, in its report two months ago, claimed that publisher Bandai Namco revealed that the game will likely be available by April 12 worldwide on PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC. On the other hand, early release of this game in Japan is set on March 24.
Fans are likely to expect something new and refreshing for the latest installment. But what are those that they should really be anticipating?
According to Game Rant, it has been stated by a Youtube channel, The Know, that the game will be featuring a never-before installed gameplay element where a sacrifice ceremony allows players to resurrect the body of a deceased character to be able to play in the world of other players' characters.
It was also claimed in the report that the new "Dark Souls 3" will be featuring more than 100 new weapons, 10 classes, 45 new enemies and 12 new areas.
Since the introduction of the "Demon Souls" in 2009, the developer From Software has created a different level of challenge for players on how they are going to finish the game not by regenerating health or accumulating experience points to move forward.
The sequels that came after, namely, "Dark Souls," "Dark Souls 2" and "Bloodborne" even introduced more of the nature of the game's setup which is death and more death for the player's character. But as the new sequel is released, the continuity of the game series is rumored to come to a halt.
Alphr, in its report, mentioned that Hidetaka Miyazaki, creator of the "Souls" game confirmed that the "Dark Souls 3" will be the last of the game series.
"I don't think it'd be the right choice to continue indefinitely creating 'Souls' and 'Bloodborne' games," he said. "I'm considering 'Dark Souls 3' to be the big closure on the series."
"That's not just limited to me, but FromSoftware and myself together want to aggressively make new things in the future. 'Dark Souls 3' will mark the last game where the development project began before I became president."
