"Criminal Minds" season 11 is reportedly having some scheduling conflicts with CBS and the next four episodes, starting with episode 14 will apparently be affected.
After the airing of episode 13 last Jan. 27, the TV series did not air its 14th episode last Wednesday. It will purportedly be aired on Feb. 10. The show's episodes apparently are set to be shown two weeks apart from each other for the time being, according to Master Herald.
Could this be a sign that "Criminal Minds" is not a priority show for CBS anymore? The decision to air the show every other week made many speculate on the matter.
Season 11 episode 14, titled "Hostage," shows the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) of the FBI solving a hostage of three young women for years, where one of the three managed to escape.
The official synopsis of "Criminal Minds" season 11 episode 14 of TV.Com states, "The BAU hunt for a kidnapper after an 18-year-old girl escapes from a suburban home where she had been held captive with two other women for many years."
According to Latin Post, the storyline of episode 14 greatly resembles the real-life story of three women held captive in Cleaveland. The suspect, knows as Castro, first kidnapped Michelle Knight in 2002, the second victim was Amanda Berry in 2003 and the third was Gina DeJesus in 2004.
The three were held captive until May of 2013 and suffered abuse from their kidnapper. They managed to escape while Castro was away and Amanda Berry was heard by a concerned passer by outside Catro's home when she called for help, according to reports from New York Daily News.
The suspect was sentenced to life in prison without parole for 937 counts of rape, kidnapping and aggravated murder. However, only a month after being sentenced, Castro committed suicide.
Catch "Criminal Minds" season 11 episode 14, Feb. 10, on CBS.
