Xbox One is barely two years old since its initial release as of this writing but gamers are already looking forward to the next iteration of Microsoft's console.

Commonly referred to as Xbox Two for obvious reasons, but the next gen console will be more than just a big brother for the previous version.

Development of technology has pushed the boundaries of the internal components of Microsoft's console. Diffen.com has laid out the difference between Xbox One and Xbox 360 and they are practically worlds apart when it comes to specs.

The 512MB Video RAM for Xbox 360 definitely cannot compare to AMD and Radeon's processor since the latter has the capacity to handle games up to 4k in resolution. Xbox 360 can only handle up to 1080p, 1080i resolution.

Xbox Two would definitely up the ante on screen resolution but Microsoft's Illumiroom project could finally become a reality.

But the battle for the next generation's console is not just about screen resolution. There is even speculation that Xbox Two will more than just another game console.

Polygon reports about the slow but constant march towards Xbox and Windows integration. If this happens in the next iteration of Xbox, the console will no longer just be about gaming.

A Windows 10 (or its latest version) on an Xbox? It is an interesting concept as it could lead to additional integration, especially on mobile devices.

According to Xbox2gamers, Xbox One will continue to receive updates up to 10 years since its initial release. But that doesn't mean Microsoft will have to wait that long before introducing its brand new console.

The timeline of Xbox 360 to Xbox One is more than eight years which could be the same time frame for Xbox Two.

The console war is definitely not over between PlayStation and Xbox. Both consoles will definitely vie for the gamers' hard-earned money by introducing game changing specs, components and online interaction.
