Fans are highly anticipating Drake's new album for 2016 named, "Views From The 6" and many wonder what the rapper slash singer's latest record sounds like, which is slated for release in April, according to BET.
"Summer Sixteen" has recently been released and Drizzy's in-house producer Noah "40" Shebib, shared what fans can expect from the Toronto rapper's upcoming album.
40 guested on "The Smokebox" and Hotboxes with B-Real while talking about "Views." He shared that Drake is currently finding ways to incorporate his love for Toronto, which is his hometown and his other home, Los Angeles. Shebib also added, that the record's production is all about balance.
"The time will come when Drake's ready to pull the trigger," said Shebib. "For us, it's just a balance of finding that space to make such a project that's based around our city. And then also coming out here to the West Coast to escape some of the harsh winters and find a good creative space. It has to be a balance of both those locations for what it's supposed to be."
Fans can expect to hear something different on Drake's new album for 2016. The sound may be different from what is currently in the music landscape.
Drizzy's producer also said that he does not listen to what is on the radio and what other artists are dropping. He wants to stay away from that right now and just focus on "something different."
Cypres Hill's B-Real, also known as Louis Freese, has hosted distinguished guests on his web series, including Snoop Dogg, Freddie Gibbs and Wiz Khalifa, revealed Hot New Hip Hop.
Drake and 40 have been working together for some time now. Shebib has been his closest creative partner.
"If I want to make the album I want to make, I have to go find him," said Drake to Fader. "I have to go sit with him, and we have to really put in the effort."
Drake's new album for 2016 "View From The 6," is his fourth studio effort.
