NBA Trade Rumors: Buzz Around Blake Griffin Intensifying; Clippers Not Keen On Shipping Out Forward?

The NBA trade deadline is just around the corner but the Blake Griffin just couldn't sihake himself off all the rumors.

Now, a new report from the Los Angeles Times seems to lend credence to all the NBA trade rumors as the Los Angeles Clippers have reportedly been second-guessing themselves when it comes to the high-flying forward.

"The Clippers have fielded calls involving various trade proposals but remain reluctant to part with a cornerstone of their franchise and a player who, at age 26, was having possibly his best season," Ben Bolch wrote.

But Blake Griffin has missed a lot of games this year to injury. The second time was entirely his fault when he could not rein in his anger and punched equipment manager Matias Testi and broke his hand in the process.

Multiple reports claimed that he might missed the whole season entirely and come back from the playoffs. That could prove to be disastrous as the Los Angeles Clippers are trying to avoid a second-round meeting with either the Golden State Warriors or the San Antonio Spurs.

Matt Moore of CBS Sports wrote that before his injury, it would have been unthinkable to find Blake Griffin's name in NBA trade rumors.

But moving the 6-10 forward is easier said than done.

"Getting return for Griffin is nearly impossible if you want to compete now," he wrote. "If the Clippers fail to get out of the second round or even push the Warriors or Spurs in a meaningful way, sure, you can look to re-evaluate your makeup."

Moore opined that out of the big three-Chris Paul, DeAndre Jordan and Griffin-the high-flyer has the most value for money. Although Paul is the Alpha of the Los Angeles Clippers, he's already 30 years old and has been saddled with injuries this season.

Prior to his injury, Blake Griffin was an MVP candidate and the scary thing is, he's still peaking so it's understandable that the Los Angeles Clippers should distance themselves from all the NBA trade rumors involving the 6-10 all-star.
