The ZTE Falcon hotspot reportedly has 4G, LTE and fits in the palm of your hand.
T-Mobile teamed up with ZTE for the launching of the tiny 4G LTE hotspot called the Falcon. It's tiny in build but it packs a punch as its able to keep up to 10 devices connected over Wi-Fi at the same time.
“We understand consumers are always on the go," said Lixin Cheng, Chairman and CEO of ZTE USA on Android Headlines. "From the comfort of their own home to the office to activities outside, the need for reliable, secure WiFi access never changes."
The Falcon measures 105 x 60 x 16 mm and weighs 110 grams (0.24 pounds). It also has a 2000mAh battery inside that will make the device last a long time. Apart from it being very lightweight, it is very durable and should be able to withstand dropping and rough handling.
It reportedly runs with one of the fastest networks in the country and even rivals Verizon's coverage where even Wi-Fi calls can be made. The 4G LTE hotspot from ZTE will also have various plans available depending on how much data you want. Customers can even change the data allotment on a monthly basis.
Getting a hotspot device is very convenient especially for people who are on the go. While there is the option of using smartphones as a hotspot but since they also have other functions apart from providing data, the battery gets drained fairly quickly since laptops quickly eat data allowance. A mobile hotspot, on the other hand, is made specifically to provide data and will spare smartphones from dying too fast.
A T-Mobile support page for the ZTE Falcon hotspot is already up and contains important specifications, like the 4G and LTE, for those who are interested in the device.
The 4G LTE Falcon hotspot from ZTE will be released on Feb. 12, 2016 online and in some of T-Mobile's retail stores.
