The Emma Watson Book Club has finished their first book and are moving on to the next title.
The first book to be reviewed by Our Shared Shelf is "My Life On The Road" by Gloria Steinem and the "Harry Potter" actress will reportedly be interviewing the author.
According to The Young Folks, Steinem recounts the various adventures she had and some of the issues that women face. She tells the story of the past 50 years of her life and is reportedly almost conversational that readers are able to relate to the book very intimately. The way the book was written is a new way of telling a story in the memoir genre.
With the Emma Watson Book Club in full swing, the British actress went the extra mile to even interview Gloria Steinem. She would be doing so on Feb. 24, 2016, at the "How To: Academy" and will upload the entire interview in Our Shared Shelf.
Watson even invited some of the members of her club to join the event and purchase tickets if they'd like to.
Wizards And Whatnot reported that the next book that the club will be reading is Alice Walker's "The Color Purple." It is a classic story that Watson reportedly chose to catch up with this book especially since she wasn't able to have a traditional high school experience.
The book won the 1983 Pulitzer Price for Fiction and the National Book Award for fiction. It takes place in the rural Georgia state and focused on the life of women of color and their numerous issues in Americal social culture. Apart from being adapted into a film, it was also turned into a musical on Broadway as well.
Our Shared Shelf, the Emma Watson Book Club, already has more than 100,000 members of different nationalities. Those who are interested in joining can do so by going to Good Reads.
