There are two highly rumored release dates for the much-anticipated new MacBook Pro from Apple this 2016: one is an Apple event on March and second is the WWDC event in June; but which is which?
Based on its tradition, Apple has always had an upgrade for its MacBook lineup at least once a year, the last one was made during the first and second quarter of 2015. And while it is certain that there will be another upgrade for MacBook Pro this 2016, the only question is when specifically.
Gotta Be Mobile, in its report titled "2016 Macbook Pro Release Date Rumors Heating Up," said that new reports suggest that the release date of the new MacBook lineup will be sooner rather than later, which is based on the statements of KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who said that 2016 MacBook Pro will likely arrive in the first half of the year.
The report added that consumers may see the release of the 2016 MacBook Pro during a rumored Apple March event, along with the new updates for the Apple Watch and the iPhone 5SE.
This speculation is shared by Gospel Herald, which said that it is a probably a "safe bet" that the announcement of the new MacBook Pro 2016 will happen in March.
DigiTimes also cited this report about a staggered launch for the 12 and 13.3-inch MacBooks which will be at the end of the first quarter and the 15-inch model in the third quarter. Gospel Herald also downplayed new reports that Apple may entirely drop the MacBook Air line.
On the other hand, Breathecast believes that the MacBook Pro 2016 will be launched in June during the WWDC event while the MacBook Air 2016 will be unveiled in March. Some reports who say that the release date will be in June claim that Apple has often made its announcements in the past during the WWDC event.
