It will definitely be hard to top a phenomenal hit that "Frozen" has become but Disney has already confirmed that a sequel, "Frozen 2," is certainly in the works.

Disney Times, in its report, said that during the Disney's Shareholders Meeting in San Francisco, California last year, Disney Animation Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter announced that "Frozen 2" is in development. This, accordingly, became the first official news fans have had about the much-anticipated sequel.

Adding to the little details that were revealed, Disney Times also confirmed that directing duo Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee will be coming back to helm the sequel.

During the announcement, Josh Gad who voiced Olaf the Snowman was also present; he even joked that the "Frozen" sequel will be titled "Rogue One," referencing to the "Star Wars" spinoff film. His presence confirmed, as well, that the well-loved character Olaf will be back.

In a related news, Your Modern Family also dished out both new and known details and speculations after they did a "little digging" and research. First is that the release date for "Frozen 2" will be in 2017 "at the earliest, more likely to be 2018."

Second is that Prince Hans will be returning and he's not the bad guy we have known him for in the first movie. He will have a changed heart in "Frozen 2."

Plus, the sequel will revolve around the theme of "second chances," which may include Elsa and Anna forgiving Prince Hans, who may also become Elsa's love interest in the sequel. Also, aside from Elsa, Olaf is also getting a love angle.

"Frozen 2," the report adds, will put more focus on Elsa's story. Also according to reports, the sequel will feature the "fun side" of Elsa. In addition, both Elsa and Anna will have new dresses. These new dresses and Olaf's "girlfriend" will, of course, also mean new merchandises!

Lastly, "Frozen 2" will be topping its worldwide hit, award-winning OST, "Let it Go," with a new duet from Elsa and Anna. According to Christian Today, the new song is poised to become another cult hit.
