Fans of "Mirror's Edge" might have been a bit disappointed as the sequel to Electronic Arts's game, "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" has been moved to a later date.

But there is still some good news about it! According to Pocket-Lint, players will still be able to play the game as EA will be releasing a public beta version of "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" and they have already started a registration process for this.

The closed beta will be available for PS4, Xbox One and PC which will give players the chance to play it on a combat experience. In addition to the report, it also stated that there might not be too much story for this version as it will be used to stress the test servers.

On the other hand, it will allow users to play in multiplayer mode.  As for the release date of the closed public beta, EA is yet to reveal the as the launch date approaches.

Players will be able to sign up for the closed public beta at mirrorsedge.com/beta but will need to have a registered EA account to proceed. Christian Post elaborated that once a player has been signed up, an official word will be given by EA if he successfully secured a spot for not all of those who register will be given a chance to participate.

The game will be available by May 24 in the US, May 26 in the UK for all PS4, Xbox One and PC where it will be featuring Faith Connors as the protagonist in the story.

As Christian Post described, Connors, also the main character in the game's last installment, "Mirror's Edge," is a member of a group called "runners" who wants to revolt against the totalitarian government of the City of Glass.

Players will be able to experience the game in a first-person perspective.
