Super Bowl 50 unveiled the last battle some mutants in "X-Men: Apocalypse" will take on after the heart-pounding trailer was revealed.

Earlier reports have already revealed what "X-Men: Apocalypse" will be and the next battle won't be somewhere limited on Earth. In an interview with Cinemablend last year, "X-Men: Apocalypse" writer Simon Kinberg revealed that there's more to "X-Men: Apocalypse" that your average human vs. mutants and their fight over who gets to live peacefully in the cities.

"I feel like we have been, the 'X-Men' franchise, has been growing a little bit more into science fiction," revealed Kinberg. "I think 'Days of Future Past' with time travel and the Sentinels took us into a slightly broader, more science fiction world than the films had occupied in the past. We felt like the movies were ready for something that was slightly more, let's say, cosmic," added the "X-Men: Apocalypse" writer.

While updates on "X-Men: Apocalypse" slowed down for a while, the latest Super Bowl 50 unveiled the film's latest trailer according to Mirror. The trailer for "X-Men: Apocalypse" unleashed what fans have been excited about, and for some, what's saddening about the upcoming "X-Men" installment.

The latest "X-Men: Apocalypse" trailer revealed the depth of destruction Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) will be spreading to the human race and how it seems to force divided mutants to again come together to face a menacing opponent. The exciting part in the trailer is seeing new characters come to life by first-timers in the "X-Men" franchise as they are joined by veteran cast members including Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy.

"Let's go to war," said Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique is a sad reminder that "X-Men: Apocalypse" will be a farewell to the favorite blue mutant and is expected to be her last appearance as the shape-shifting mutant. Previous reports have already revealed that "X-Men: Apocalypse" will be her last Mystique role and the Academy Award Winning actress will be moving on from the franchise.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" arrives this May 27. Watch the latest trailer here.
