Square Enix has yet to reveal the actual release date for "Kingdom Hearts 3" yet rumors of delay have surfaced. What's happening?
There have been so many speculations about "Kingdom Hearts 3" and apart from the worlds and the characters coming, question on release date is a big issue. Previous reports have already revealed that while Square Enix has yet to announce a specific "Kingdom Hearts 3" release date, it is said that the D-day won't come any later than 2017. However, this might not be the case and there's a possibility that Sora and the gang will take longer to arrive.
A report by MoviePilot pointed out that the 2016 release date seems unlikely, as 2017 could be the date for "Kingdom Hearts 3." While it's not necessarily a delay as speculations pointed towards a "no later than 2017" release date, it seems that the hope for a 2016 release date is slowly vanishing. If indeed it is 2017, then it could mean that there's still a lot of "Kingdom Hearts 3" to be producing. However, this remains to be confirmed by Square Enix.
Meanwhile, earlier reports have speculated that it has been taking a while for Square Enix to announce a release date for "Kingdom Hearts 3" because the developer is hard at work to make the last installment of the series. The news scared a few fans but latest developments have put a stop to this rumor.
A report by GamingBold pointed out that "Kingdom Hearts 3" director Tetsuya Nomura has shared details that this won't be the last installment of the series. "The discussion of the end of Kingdom Hearts has never come up between me and Disney, so I don't know what their intentions are," revealed the "Kingdom Hearts 3" director.
"But while creating 'Kingdom Hearts,' with each generation I think to myself 'This should be something that can't be accomplished by just Disney'," added Nomura. "It has to be something uniquely 'Kingdom Hearts.' So it's a matter of how long can I keep creating for 'Kingdom Hearts'! I don't know if the fans would enjoy it as much if it was just Disney, if it wasn't a combination of Disney and my own creativity," he revealed.
Bad news is that, to date, no definite release date for "Kingdom Hearts 3" yet; but good news has confirmed that this won't be the last adventure of Sora.
