"Last Week Tonight with John Oliver" is one of the most popular weekly shows today as it tackles various subjects that happened in the previous week. It gives viewers a quick and funny round-up coupled with unique pictures that often feature members and relatives of their staff.

However, it's most interesting segment in his 30-minute show is on how it discusses a specific topic - often obscure but could have great implication for many viewers. Vulture even reviewed the 2015 show in a positive tone:

"Oliver and his staff have managed to accomplish the oft-untenable task of mixing a well-timed dick joke with hard-hitting journalism. And as their work in 2015 proved time and again, they're pulling it off with flying colors, going places that other popular news programs won't even tread. "

So what could we expect from John Oliver and HBO's staff? For now, things are kept secret. Sioux City Journal reports that, "he likes the idea of keeping as much as possible about his show a secret until it airs each week, a philosophy he took to the extreme last spring when he traveled to Moscow to interview Edward Snowden."

But if there's one topic viewers could count on Oliver will tackle in the upcoming episodes, it's the upcoming presidential elections and in particular: Donald Trump. Seasoned viewers know that Oliver has stayed away from the topic for as long as possible. This season, the comedian will finally tackle the controversial Republican candidate on the upcoming episodes.

However, the comedian notes in his interview with Esquire, "I think we'll do more stuff that has to do with the process and the personalities. I don't think we'll do too much on the daily dramas of the campaign."

John Oliver returns for the third season with the premiere episode on Valentine's Day. The show's official website has all the featured topics for free viewing.
