The Toronto Raptors have been linked to various trade rumors as they try to upgrade their front court.
Players on the trading block such as Markieff Morris, Ryan Anderson and other possible upgrades have been linked to the team. According to raptorsrepublic.com, the team has relied on veteran Luis Scola and James Johnson during this season but still needs an effective scorer in the power forward position.
Morris has been strongly linked to the Raptors as reported by brightsideofthesun.com.
"He [Morris] likes Houston [Rockets] because of James Harden and Toronto [Raptors] because of Kyle Lowry, but he honestly doesn't care where he gets dealt as long as he is not wearing a Suns uniform."
Given this, experts believe that the Raptors is the most likely team to create an attractive package. The team could offer wingman Terrence Ross and Patrick Patterson; two players who would fit perfectly with the Suns' fast offense.
Another option would the Pelicans' veteran power forward. As per yibada.com, the Pelicans' Ryan Anderson could be on his way to the Raptors for draft picks and combo guard Delon Wright. This move would clearly be a financial one for the Pelicans as Anderson is an upcoming free agent.
As reported by hoopsrumors.com, Anderson could possibly receive a max contract next season. With the Pelicans already strapped by huge contracts of Eric Gordon and Tyreke Evans, re-signing another non-All-Star would not be the best move for a franchise trying to move forward.
One possible upgrade could be Orlando Magic forward Tobias Harris. As per sbnation.com, Harris is a do-everything forward stuck in a team that's not fitted for him. As head coach Scott Skiles is known for being a defensive-minded leader, Harris may not fit the bill.
The Magic already has a crowded frontcourt with Aaron Gordon and rookie Mario Hezonja looking to gain more minutes plus they have the veteran Channing Frye who is locked in for 2 more seasons. The potential trade would have to include Terrence Ross, Bismack Biyombo and draft picks going to the Magic for Harris.
