Ever since Blake Griffin's controversial altercation with their training staff member, he has been rumored to be on the trading block.

The team has done well without the former Slam Dunk champion and could retool the pieces surrounding Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan. As reported by Yahoo! Sports, the team's forward is suspected to miss 4-6 weeks due to hand injury.

As the report states, the incident happened in an off-court altercation between the team's equipment manager who is also Griffin's close friend and Blake.

"A situation among friends escalated and I regret the way I handled myself towards someone I care about," Griffin wrote in a statement on Twitter. "I want to apologize to the Clippers organization, my teammates and the fans for creating a distraction."

The team's owner Steve Balmer and Doc Rivers released a statement that said "This conduct has no place in our organization and this incident does not represent who we are as a team. We are conducting a full investigation with assistance from the NBA. At the conclusion of the investigation, appropriate action will be taken."

Now, one of the potential winners in the Blake Griffin sweepstakes is the Boston Celtics organization. The Celtics are loaded with assets including Brooklyn Nets' top pick, the expiring contract of David Lee and young prospects such as James Young, Marcus Smart.

The Celtics have acquired several pieces to their team over the past few years ever since dismantling their 2008 championship team that included Finals Most Valuable Player Paul Pierce and former Most Valuable Player Kevin Garnett.

Reported by celticsblog.com, known to be one of the league's top insiders, Adrian Wojnarowski said that Griffin could be moved to the Celtics this coming summer especially if the Clippers don't advance in the coming Playoffs. The potential trade would be Avery Bradley, Brooklyn's top pick and Jae Crowder for Blake Griffin.

Should this deal push through, the chances of landing a potential franchise star in Ben Simmons will be out of the equation. Will it be worth it?
