Professional wrestler Daniel Bryan (real name Bryan Danielson) announced in his Twitter account that he is already retiring effective immediately, as reported by ScreenGrabber.

According to the report, Bryan has been struggling to deal with his health condition the past few months to be able to get back to wrestling. His doctors already cleared him from the tests but it was the WWE doctor that refused to have him back. The wrestling superstar has been convinced by the concussion test he recently underwent.

In his appearance in WWE Raw last night, Bryan admitted that he would not be able to continue due to past injuries.

"Within the first five months of my wrestling career, I'd already had three concussions. For years after that, I would get a concussion here and there, or here, or there, and it gets to the point when you've been wrestling for 16 years that it adds up to a lot of concussions. It gets to a point where they tell you that you can't wrestle anymore," he said.

"I have loved this in a way that I have never loved anything else. But a week and a half ago I took a test that said maybe my brain wasn't as OK as I thought it was. And I have a family to think about, and my wife and I want to start having kids soon."

He also said that he felt so upset when he found out that he can no longer compete. But, at the end of the day, Bryan said he was very grateful to have the opportunity to main event WWE.

"I've been angry, I've been said, I've been frustrated, and all that. But when I woke up this morning, I felt nothing but gratitude," he said. "You guys got behind me in a way that made me feel like I was more than just me. And for that, I'm grateful."

Despite his special appearance on Raw to elaborate the issue, there were rumors and conspiracies saying that Bryan's decision to retire was not really because of the concussions he is experiencing but simply because, he really wanted to retire, Wrestling Inc reported.
