"Grey's Anatomy" season 12 episode 9 will soon be aired after the show had a long mid-season break. The show will open in downright chaos as Meredith will be put in harm's way due to a patient's aggressive attack.
"The Sound of Silence" episode promo clip made fans curious and concerned about Meredith's condition when it showed her lying helpless on the operating table while she is being revived after a brutal attack.
The scene opened wherein you can hear Maggie talking, "We're going to have to put a chest tube in. Your lung is collapsing," said Maggie, according to IB Times.
Meanwhile, Meredith can be seen looking blankly at the crowd of doctors around her, clearly not hearing anything they're saying.
Giacomo Gianniotti, who plays the role of Dr. Andrew DeLuca in "Grey's Anatomy," revealed some juicy details about Meredith's recover on the season 9's premiere episode.
"Usually an episode is covering a day or two at most, we're seeing weeks and months go by, and different stages of her recovery," Gianniotti told E!News, according to Melty.
"So you really get to see a lot of passage of time and the changing of a lot of relationships throughout that time while waiting for Meredith to heal."
It looks like the entire hospital is in store for a long period of recovery following the events that will go down in the mid-season premiere.
"Grey's Anatomy" season 12 episode 9 was directed by Hollywood star Denzel Washington, according to Variety. This purportedly marked Washington's TV directorial debut.
