"Noragami" recently ended their second season and even though it only ran for 13 episodes, according to My Anime List, it was more than enough to get fans to crave for more.
It's a well-written anime that features deities in a very different scenario as Yato tries his might to get more followers while dealing with different gods who may or may not be in his favor.
Since the second season ended only last December, fans have to be patient about renewal announcements for the show. According to when-will.net, "Bones studio is yet to renew or cancel the anime..." and IBTimes estimate that an announcement could be made this spring.
There are numerous factors that would determine if the show would get renewed or cancelled. Among them is the popularity of the anime itself and they are often interpreted through sales of DVD or Blu-ray.
Another factor is the availability of source material. The studio should have enough content to work with so that the anime will not catch up with the manga without additional content.
Fortunately for "Noragami" anime fans, the manga has been running since 2010 which means it does have enough content to work with for the third season.
Another intriguing factor that would suggest the anime would actually have another season is the cliffhanger in the second season. Fujisaki is revealed as the "Father" and he has been responsible not only for Ebisu's trouble but also for Hiyori's status.
It would be interesting how Yato will deal with all these stories while working on his personal problems.
Yato and Fujisaki will have to deal with the recent revelations in the upcoming season. When this happens, the action sequences definitely get an upgrade to the delight of fans worldwide.
These, of course, will happen if "Noragami" gets green lit for another season.
