Can fans finally get good news from Bethesda about the highly-anticipated "Elder Scrolls 6?"

According to recent rumors, with Bethesda announcing an E3 press conference on Jun. 12, an unveiling of the new title could be underway.  Fans have been waiting for official announcements regarding the sixth installment since last year, so the excitement has led them that 2016 could actually be the year developers finally announce the development of "Elder Scrolls 6."

"The Elder Scrolls is a huge series for Bethesda. Like Fallout 4, The Elder Scrolls 6 would be the sort of hype-inducing game to make an E3 stage show huge. On the other hand, it still feels too soon for The Elder Scrolls 6 to actually release, and Bethesda doesn't seem to favor making announcements too far ahead of time," Neurogadget reported.

However, previous reports claimed that fans should not put their hopes up just yet forany E3 2016 announcements .  Should developers want to pursue making the sixth installment, rumors claim that it's launch will not be in the near future.

"Bethesda usually releases a new TES every 4 years, so when Bethesda didn't release 'The Elder Scrolls 6' last year we're all a bit perplexed," Crossmap noted. "However it seems like we'll still have to wait another 4 years before we can see 'The Elder Scrolls 6.'"

"Ás it is not Bethesda's way to split teams, it seems like we'll be seeing 'Elder Scrolls 6' updates by 2017, since there's Fallout 4 and of course DLCs to be released on the game afterwards. Since Bethesda releases a new Elder Scrolls every 4 years, it seems like we'll be seeing TES 6 by 2019."

Previous "Elder Scrolls 6" release date rumors have claimed that the same fate for the title.

"Rumors had pegged The Elder Scrolls VI for an early 2016 release, according to MNR Daily, but a recent interview with Bethesda Softworks Vice President of Design Pete Hines shot that down pretty firmly," Inquisitr reported.

"Hines, speaking at Gamescom 2015, indicated that the studio would be turning all of their efforts toward completing Fallout 4 and recently took the time to expand on that; specifically, that The Elder Scrolls VI is still 'a very long time away.'"
