The Miami Heat are still in the midst of trade rumors as they still lack the personnel to challenge LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

While they were touted in the pre-season as arguably one of the best starting fives in the league with the development of HassanWhiteside they failed to meet that expectation as they have been inconsistent.

Their starting unit of Goran Dragic and Dwyane Wade at the backcourt, Luol Deng, Chris Bosh and Whiteside at the frontcourt is truly impressive on paper but they only sport a 29-24 record at 5th place in the East.

As an update to a previous report, acquiring Dragic from the Heat is now possible, according to Sir Charles In Charge, point guard Goran Dragic has been one of the underwhelming factors and it would be better for the Heat to trade him. For one thing, Dragic is fundamentally not a good fit for the Heat.

"The Miami Heat has a point guard that made his living off pace and space," SCIC mentioned. "Currently, the Heat operates under the second slowest PACE in the NBA. They also sport the NBA's third-worst three-point shooting."

Dragic flourished with the Phoenix Suns as a fast paced team and he also played with two other young point guards at one point: Eric Bledsoe and Isaiah Thomas. With the Heat, he has an aging Dwyane Wade who's used to being isolated.

ESPN notes that the Houston Rockets, a team familiar to Dragic, would need his services and plays a faster pace with more three point shooting.

There could still be problems, but it would be workable. "Though playing Dragic with Harden would create some of the same issues Dragic currently faces next to Dwyane Wade with the Miami Heat, his up-tempo style would be ideal for the team's second unit," ESPN stated.

Dragic's contract is also one of the main reasons why the Heat find it difficult to re-sign Hassan Whiteside. If the Heat prioritize keeping Whiteside, trading Dragic would be a way to help them make an offer. The only issue would be which assets they can get from the Rockets.
