Elvis Presley, the iconic King of Rock, died at only 42 years old, had many fans mourn his untimely death. Hence, rumors and assumptions swirled on the true cause of his death. Reports pertain to drugs as the main culprit of his death. However, a leading pathologist revealed in the show 'Autopsy: The Last Hours Of Elvis' that the singer had an unhealthy diet that caused him to be overweight. He was also drinking a liter of alcohol each day and took up numerous prescription drugs.

Unhealthy lifestyle and diet pertained to eating unhealthy food, drinking alcohol and even abuse of many prescription drugs.

British forensic pathologist, Dr. Richard Shepherd said that the singer's heart and liver were enlarged as they were twice the normal size. Also, his hair would be 'snow white' if he is not dyeing it.

Before his death, Dr. Nichopoulos, Elvis' doctor, made prescriptions for him for at least 8,805 pills, tablets, vials, and injectable drugs. The autopsy report released months after his death, pertain to many diseases the singer has including diabetes, heart disease, glaucoma and constipation. However, in a news report by Mirror state that DNA results show the singer has genetic heart muscle disease called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. He suffered symptoms of the condition in his final years, including an irregular heartbeat, fatigue, fainting and high blood pressure.

By 1994, they reopened the autopsy report of Presley and Coroner Dr. Joseph Davis declared that, "There is nothing in any of the data that supports a death from drugs. In fact, everything points to a sudden, violent heart attack. Whether or not combined drug intoxication was in fact the cause, there is little doubt that polypharmacy contributed significantly to Presley's premature death." Apparently, his heart condition was aggravated by his unealthy lifestyle and diet.

The singer was not in good shape and was overweight for his age. During his untimely death, he was found face down in the bathroom of his mansion in Graceland in Tennessee after he collapsed while his fiancé and staff are still sleeping.
