''Arctic Monkeys'' is a band to watch in the coming years and the lead singer Alex Tuner already has created a lot of waves.

The drummer and vocalist Matthew Helders is also climbing up the popularity chart gradually. Iggy Pop collaborated with Matthew Helders to churn some great music in their upcoming album ''Post Pop Depression.''

As per the official Facebook page of ''Arctic Monkeys'' - ''Matt Helders has recorded drums for the new Iggy Pop record, 'Post Pop Depression' released on 18th March 2016.'' The 68-year old Iggy Pop's song ''Gardenia'' is creating waves in the music world. YouTube has the performance uploaded.

Digital spy reported long back in 2012 that Matt Helders is now in the process of making some new experimental music. The fans now can listen to the fruits of that hard work. Iggy Pop and Josh Homme have recorded an album together named as ''Post Pop Depression'' reported NME. ''Arctic Monkeys' Matt Helders played the drums. This album was recorded in secrecy.

While talking to Ney York Times, Iggy Pop talked about his insecurity in today's fast-changing world. ''In American life, because it's so hypercompetitive, what happens when you're finally useless to everyone except hopefully not yourself? What happens then? And can you continue to be of use to yourself? I had a kind of character in mind. It was sort of a cross between myself and a military veteran'' the veteran singer said.

Iggy Pop had undergone a lot of hardships in his career before making it big. In 1971, he met David Bowie at Max's Kansas City which is a nightclub and restaurant in New York City. The alliance gave birth to ''Raw Power'' the third studio album of ''The Stooges'' which was released on Feb. 7, 1973. Iggy Pop was sad after the death of the legend David Bowie and mentioned ''He resurrected me.'' Diffuser did a complete coverage in this episode.

Coming back to the latest seventeenth studio album of Iggy Pop, ''Post Pop Depression'' he mentioned that they had worked without a label. "But it was made to be heard - not to be some quirky thing that we did with our own money" stated the singer. Rollingstone did a story on this a few days back.

Pitchfork has listed the singles which will be included in this album. There is an Iggy Pop Post Pop Depression Tour which is scheduled to start on Feb. 22, 2016, from NY. The entire tour details are uploaded on the official website.

So Matt Helders will have a busy start of 2016 with the upcoming world tour. Since as per the latest report on pitchfork, ''Post Pop Depression'' might be Iggy Pop's final album, Helders might have been lucky to be a part of it.
