The much-awaited Guns N Roses reunion seems to be in full throttle after GNR guitarist Izzy Stradlin has confirmed he will join some of the performances. Again, it's all limited.
Previous reports have already revealed that Guns N Roses reunion has been confirmed, at least for the upcoming event at Coachella. According to UnlimitedClassicRock, the original members of Guns N Roses have confirmed their appearances and while this is such a good news for Guns N Roses fans, the reunion will be quite short-lived.
"Slash and Duff McKagan are indeed returning to the band," it said. "There is no word as to who else will join those three for these performances, nor any word on any further touring or recording plans for the trio," added the report.
In the same report, the reunion is said to include original Guns N Roses members: "Founder Axl Rose and former members Slash and Duff McKagan will regroup to headline the Coachella Music & Arts Festival."
While this is already a good news for Guns N Roses fans waiting to hear more reunion details, another Guns N Roses member is said to be coming on board with the 2016 reunion. According to a thread on MyGNRForum via Waaf, Guns N Roses guitarist Izzy Stradlin will join the reunion.
"Izzy is in for sure," revealed in the report. "My source didn't say anything about Matt Sorum and said that there is still discussion about having Adler be a part of the tour on some level. They didn't say that Sorum would not be involved though."
"[Izzy will] not [play] the entire show as far as I know," it added.
Blabbermounth added that the limitation of Izzy Stradlin to the Guns N Roses reunion could include their performance in Las Vegas. "[Izzy] Stradlin seems like he will at least perform with the group at its two early April shows in Las Vegas, although whether he will appear at other gigs remains to be seen," it said.
Loudwire has reported a Mexico City show for the Guns N Roses reunion; however, no confirmation if Izzy Stradlin will be joining this leg.
