Atlus' "Persona 5" is one of the highly anticipated games for PlayStation 4 this year. Although initially slated for 2015 release, the game was rescheduled for 2016 release.
According to IGN, the announcement of the game's rescheduled release was made during the Tokyo Game Show. Based on the official announcement, the game will be delayed so it "lives up to the expectations of fans."
Fortunately for fans, it looks like Atlus will no longer announce any sort of delay. Persona Central reported of a local retailer in Japan putting up a poster in their shelf featuring the game with the expected release date in summer 2016.
As the game is nearing its release, gamers around the world are looking for more information. IGN reported of gamers on "Persona 4: Dancing All Night" noticing something similar to the upcoming RPG. The alleged costume of one the "Persona 5" characters was also used in "Persona 4: Dancing All Night."
As of this writing, there is no official announcement or updated information with regards to the costume similarity. IGN speculates that it could be part of the upcoming DLC or simply a costume in "Persona 5" that will not be used in the game.
It is also possible that the dress' similarity is just an Easter Egg nod for the fans who are eagerly awaiting for the game's release.
Atlus' 2016 release schedule is jam packed of various hits that could get players in front of their screens for many, many hours. According to PlayStation Lifestyle,
Atlus will be releasing "Odin Sphere Leifthrasi," "Person 5," and other titles that have yet to be announced. There's also interest for an update in "13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim" this year.
While Japan's time frame for release has been confirmed, the US and other markets will just have to wait for a few months before the official US version is released.
