Leonardo DiCaprio may be single but he managed to celebrate Valentine's Day with a kiss.
During the recent BAFTA Awards, the host Stephen Fry decided to add more excitement to the traditional awards show by doing something that can be often seen in sports games.
"Talking of America, one of the wonderful things that great nation has given the world...is the kiss cam," he told the audience as reported by E! Online. "It's Valentine's Day and it's up to you out there. So which two lovebirds will our Valentine heart embrace?"
The producers of the show started panning to the star-studded audience - looking for unlikely pairs who get to kiss including Cuba Gooding Jr. and Stanley Tucci, Julianne Moore and Bryan Cranston and the adorable matchup of Leonardo DiCaprio and Maggie Smith.
The 41-year-old Hollywood heartthrob kissed the 81-year-old British actress on the cheek. She allegedly reiterated the gesture by giving the actor a hug after the unforgettable smooch. Check out the video below:
Leonardo DiCaprio didn't only celebrate Valentine's Day with a kiss, but with an award as well. He won best actor for his role in "The Revenant" while his director Alejandro G Inarritu also took home the best director.
The "Titanic" star thanked the most special woman in his life during his acceptance speech and that is his mother Irmeline Indenbirken. Since the actor is now single, after breaking up with supermodel Kelly Rohrbach a few months ago, he seemed to have realized that the only person who unconditionally loves him is his mother.
"I didn't grow up in a life of privilege and this woman drove me three hours a day to a different school to show me a different opportunity," he said as reported by Us Weekly. "It's her birthday today. Mom, I love you very much."
Leonardo DiCaprio may not have a date on Valentine's Day, but he doesn't lack any love from his family and friends including Kate Winslet who openly showed her support for her good friend at the race for the Oscars.
