The "Equals" trailer that dropped a few days ago made Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult shippers go on a frenzy. News reports have it their chemistry on-screen was undeniable.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new trailer featured their characters Silas and Nia breaking out of their mold and reaching out to one another to show their true feelings despite love being forbidden in the society they lived in.
Aside from the longing looks, Mail Online reported that the new trailer also showed their characters in compromising positions including a steamy and intimate shower scene. Not much dialogue was uttered in the trailer but both the "Twilight" actress and "Warm Bodies" actor looked intense with their yearning for the other.
In an interview last year in the news, Kristen Stewart revealed that both she and Nicholas Hoult were able to portray their characters better because of their personal experiences with love at the time.
"It was incredibly painful," the "Personal Shopper" actress told The Daily Beast in September 2015 about her split. "It was a really good time for both of us to make this movie... We all felt akin to how much we've been through, and to utilize that is so scary."
The closeness that Stewart and Hoult developed prompted rumors that they may also be dating in real life. Just last month, the pair were also spotted together hanging out it New York. As reported by PopSugar, they were seen leaving and returning to the same hotel.
The "Jack The Giant Slayer" actor has admitted believing in rumors at times but still insisted many of them were just made up as usual.
"That's all anyone ever writes about," he told Metro newspaper as quoted by Belfast Telegraph about the dating rumors. "Everyone knows that stuff is made up. You read: 'A friend said...' and I'd love to know who this 'friend' was. I'm a sucker for it myself though. I'll be flicking through whatever it might be and go 'Gasp - no way?' and then I'll think, 'Oh no, wait a minute, that's probably nonsense.'"
