"Xenoblade Chronicles X" fans may get disappointed with the update that the game is reportedly a copy cat.

"Destiny" may have more in common with the "Xenoblade Chronicles X" game than expected. Not only is the game set in an alien open world, but it also has so many elements that make both titles possible mirror images of each other.

According to Games Radar, both the role playing games have a lot in common conceptually.

"Destiny" is an online first shooter game where players take on the role of a guardian and the Earth's defenders, as they try to defeat alien races from destroying earth's last safe city. "Xenoblade," on the other hand, is also very similar as it also an open world action game where players must protect a human colony on an alien planet from hostile alien creatures after Earth gets destroyed.

What makes the two games similar isn't the story they have but the way the developers built the open worlds.

"Xenoblade Chronicles X," originally from Japan, has been updated with an English version but still has the loot, the quests and a fully interactive world to explore.

It isn't only the stories, but even the way the bosses get defeated. While getting rid of a boss is one thing, actually getting to do it is another. Both games require specific items or battle skills in order to get the job done.

"The idea behind this type of game design is that if you put in the time and all the ridiculous proper nouns, lore, and mechanics, that the complexity will melt away leaving you absorbed in the game’s fantasy world," reported the site regarding the update. "If you manage to penetrate the thick cell wall of details, you’ll reach a nucleic core of addictive immersion."

In other news, Express UK reported that Destiny will be getting a new content after a Year Two expansion update. "Xenoblade Chronicles X," on the other hand, will reportedly be getting a sequel but Monolith Soft, the developers, have not yet confirmed the rumors.
