"Pokemon" will release its 19th full featured movie with the Japanese title, "Borukenion to karakuri no Magiana" which roughly translates as "Volcanion and the Ingenious Magearna," according to Anime News Network. The latest full length movie for Pokemon will debut on July 16 in Japan. The upcoming film will is also the third full-length film based on the characters of "Pokemon: XY" series.
The upcoming movie will also introduce Magearna as its latest powerful mythical Pokemon. According to the Pokemon's official website, the Pokemon is "the latest Mythical Pokémon to be discovered! Known as the Artificial Pokémon, Magearna has a metallic body and was created by humans 500 years ago."
The official website of the beloved anime series has also revealed the plot for the upcoming film. The movie will feature another mythical Pokemon called Volcanion where he ends up binding with Ash after crashing from the sky. Ash and the mythical Pokemon will have to work together to save the city of cogs and gears from a corrupt minister.
One of the most interesting concepts of the upcoming film is the clash of two powerful Pokemons. According to Bulbagarden, Volcanion "expels its internal steam from the arms on its back. It has enough power to blow away a mountain." No additional information has been revealed about Magearna but from the looks of the character, the latest pokemon will be mechanical and should have the power to control/manipulate nearby mechanisms.
On the other hand, animeanime.jp revealed two posters for the upcoming film. The first poster features Volcanion that looks to be in an attacking position while the other poster features the popular Pokemons in the "Pokemon: XY" series. The second poster indicates that the film will also feature a short film focusing on the adventures of Pikachu and other characters in the anime TV series.
