Shichibukai, Marines As Playable Characters In 'One Piece: Burning Blood'; Game Set To Come Out

After the game's newest trailer has been unleashed, the exact release date of "One Piece: Burning Blood" has been confirmed along with its new indestructible characters in action!

One step closer to the game's release, as Bandai Namco Entertainment revealed that finally, a release date has been set for the highly anticipated "One Piece" fighting video game.

Fans wouldn't have to wait any longer as the "One Piece: Burning Blood" game will be available for purchase starting June 3, 2016, and is said to be compatible with PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PlayStation Vita gaming consoles, as noted by The Otaku's Study.

Fret no more, PC players! As the game will be moreover in PC console sooner or later in June although an exact date has yet to be confirmed as of press time. Excited?

Well, if that doesn't sufficient to be intrigued about, the recent promotional video confirmed that a portion of the Shichibukai and top notch marines will also be available as playable characters when the game releases.

These new unbreakable playable characters are as follows - Dracule Mihawk, Gekko Moriah, Bartholomew Kuma, Kizaru or Borsalino and Marines' fleet admiral named Sengoku the Buddha.

Design and Trend, in its report, confirmed that the 7-minute long video moreover showed images of the Paramount War and claimed that the game players might "also be able to engage in hack fighting as well just like in the "One Piece: Pirate Warriors" series."

Then again, series producer Koji Nakajima, in a previous interview with PlayStation Lifestyle, teased a bit information about what the game will bring to the table, aside from the fact the "Burning Blood" is the first "One Piece" game title with a one-on-one battle.

"We're focusing on the adventure of the 'One Piece' series, and you can have an experience with Luffy through original stories - usually Luffy is seen fighting against a strong enemy each episode, and sometimes he's fighting against a fusion of enemies. We tried to approach that situation in this title," said Nakajima.

As of this writing, there are 34 characters confirmed coming to "One Piece: Burning Blood" game including Monkey D. Luffy, Sabo, the Strawhat Pirates and plenty of others.
