Australian death metal group Thy Art Is Murder is looking for a new singer after CJ McMahon left the group recently before the group's scheduled appearance in Europe.
In a recent interview with Pitcam TV via Blabbermouth, bassist Sean Delander and drummer Lee Stanton revealed that they are looking to replace McMahon but that they aren't in a rush to find someone to cover his duties.
For now though, they have Molotov Solution's Nick Arthur filling in the gap for their scheduled European tour with Parkway Drive and Architects.
"Not really," Delander revealed when he was asked if they were prepared for the departure of their singer. "It's a shame, 'cause it's a really big tour for us. But we've got Nick Arthur filling in. He's doing a great job. I mean, we weren't gonna not do the tour 'cause we didn't have CJ. It's definitely different, but we're just keeping on trucking."
As to who would fill in the new singer position for Thy Art Is Murder permanently, the bassist revealed that they have talked to a few of their friends and that they are taking things slowly to make sure everything goes well for them.
"We're just making a shortlist," he said. "We've got a couple of friends that we've approached, or they've approached us. So we're just sending out some instrumental tracks for them to record themselves on. We're gonna take it slow. I don't think there's any rush. It'd be nice to get someone permanent before the summertime and all that. But we don't really wanna rush into it."
Furthermore, rumors reveal that Nick Arthur may fill in the spot of new singer for Thy Art Is Murder for good if everything goes well for the group.
