A Missy Elliott and Beyonce collaboration may purportedly be in the horizon as fans continue to await the new album of the "Work It" singer.
According to a report on Inverse, there have been apparently some clues hinting that the Misdemeanor may work on some music with Queen Beyonce as they have previously partnered on a material before, specifically "Nothing Out There For Me" and "Crazy Feelings."
It was also mentioned in the report that if a collaboration between the two artists happened this year, it would be "epic" as they have both grown in terms of style and music since they first worked together. It was even noted that a possible new music from the pair might reportedly strive to make a statement more than invoke emotions.
No word though if Beyonce will indeed be working with Missy Elliott. The rapper has been very secretive with her upcoming new album that she hasn't even hinted on a possible release date.
But during a 2016 Grammys after-party, Atlantic chairman and Chief Operating Officer Julie Greenwald said the 44-year-old rapper was still working on her new music after a decade of hiatus. It was also mentioned that she won't be going on a tour anytime soon.
As told by Just Jared, Elliott also spent time with Pharrell Williams at the said bash.
During a feature on Billboard last November, one of the "Get Ur Freak On" singer's people were surprised when she let the interviewer hear one of her songs.
"You must be real important to have her show it to you," co-director Dave Meyers revealed back then. "She has had that shit on lockdown!"
"I have to be very careful," Missy Elliott explained of her being secretive these days about the new album. "It's different now. People are quick to be like, 'You're irrelevant, you're a flop, you're washed up.'"
