Ronda Rousey made it to news headlines recently when she got herself body painted for Sports Illustrated's 2016 swimsuit issue.

The said magazine issue featured three different cover girls including UFC champion Ronda Rousey, model Hailey Clauson and plus-size model Ashley Graham.

In a recent interview with Ellen Degeneres, Rousey revealed details about the Sports Illustrated body paint photo shoot.

"They gave me the heads up, I didn't just show up and have them tell me: 'Guess, what you're naked,' they can't do that!" Ronda said about the cover shoot to DeGeneres, reported People Magazine.

"I did 'swimsuit' the year before and of course I wanted to do it again, and they said that they were offering all of the athletes the chance to do body paint with Joanne Gair, who did that famous picture of Demi Moore body-painted in the suit. And she's brilliant, she's a master of her trade, and I thought it was a real honor to be her canvas for once."

Rousey said she and Gair became quite close friends after the whole body-painting experience.

"It's a lady party in there, pretty much," the former UFC champion said, reported InStyle.

"They gotta paint all of you and there was one point where they're like, 'OK, bend over!' and [Gair's] like, 'There's no non-awkward way to do this' as she's filling in [laughs] ... it was weird. We were best friends by the time I got out of there. It's a real good icebreaker."

During the interview, the 29-year-old athlete also admitted that when she lost the UFC bantamweight to Holly Holm in November, she thought of killing herself out of frustration.

"I was literally sitting there and thinking about killing myself and that exact second I'm like, 'I'm nothing, what do I do anymore and no one gives a s*** about me anymore without this,''' Ronda Rousey told Ellen about her Sports Ilustrated cover, according to CNN.
