A new trailer for "Game of Thrones" season 6 dropped online recently showing the faces of past dead characters but among them were apparently not just Kit Harington's Jon Snow but also Emilia Clarke's Daenerys Targaryen.
As told by CNET, the season 6 trailer dropped late Sunday night and it featured the "Hall of Faces." It started off showing Ned Stark, Robb Stark, Catelyn Star, Joffrey Baratheon and Jon Snow. But then faces of some still alive characters such as Tyrion Lannister, Sansa and Arya Stark, Cersei and Jamie Lannister and even Daenerys Targaryen followed.
The Evening Standard pointed out that the new trailer may be hinting that just like Kit Harington's character, nobody on "Game of Thrones" may be safe anymore including Emilia Clarke's Daenerys Targaryen.
But in a post on Reddit, one user insisted that the clip might just be a tease or a form of scare for all the avid fans of the HBO TV series.
Although everything remains unclear, George R.R. Martin has hinted in February 2015 that there will be more deaths in the series compared to the book version.
"People are going to die who don't die in the books, so even the book readers will be unhappy," the author was quoted in saying by ScreenRant back then. "So everybody better be on their toes. [The show's co-creators] David [Benioff] and D.B. [Weiss] are even bloodier than I am."
Prior to being shown in the "Hall of Faces," Clarke has always been hopeful that her character will live until the end of the series.
"What I would hope for Dany is that she wins the whole damn thing," she told Entertainment Tonight last October. "That she wins, and she wins all of it -- and she wins. That's what I think is going to happen!"
