Apparently, former vocalist of the pop band, No Doubt Gwen Stefani had no idea that her band already replaced her with a new lead singer.
According to Consequence of Sound, Stefani shared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" that she learned of her bandmates new plans via the internet. Apparently, guitarist Tom Dumont, bassist Tony Kanal, and drummer Adrian Young have recruited AFI lead singer Davey Havok to replaced her.
Under the management of Pat Magnarella who currently manages Green Day, this new band is apparently looking for a new record label. According to "The Voice" judge, this band is a "side project ... they wanna be in a punk band."
She then gave a vague response when asked if she would be willing to return to the band. "I'll have to text Tony and ask him that, I don't know," Stefani said.
According to theverge.com, Stefani is focused on her solo career and will be releasing a solo album called "This Is What the Truth Feels Like."
She said in an interview with Vulture that she did not care what the current trends in pop music when making this new solo venture.
"The first season I was on The Voice, I think there was something in me that was a little bit more open to caring about stuff like that, but I'm not there right now," she said. "I'm not really thinking about that. All I'm thinking about is that I made a record that is literally pure and honest and reflects exactly that I wanted to reflect."
"I haven't even considered what's out there or what's happening. It's weird to even think about that right now. I don't even know what's out there, I don't even care. It's fine. Whatever's happening, I just want to share the music and feel good about it."
