The NBA trade deadline is over, but it seems that the superstars whose names were dragged into the various rumors are staying with their teams for the meantime.

Meanwhile, the deals that were not receiving much attention pushed through.

For now, Dwight Howard, Kevin Love, Carmelo Anthony and even Kevin Durant won't part with their respective teams.

Second tier stars Jeff Teague and Al Horford are also staying with the Atlanta Hawks after the team could not find any good offers. Apparently, executives want a first rounder or a starter to replace Teague.

At 10:56 a.m. yesterday, Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted, "Sources: Seventy minutes until deadline -- and Dwight Howard remains firmly in Houston. Rockets know how to make deals, so it isn't over."

But the Rockets did make a deal by sending Donatas Motiejunas and Marcus Thornton to the Detroit Pistons for Joel Anthony along with a 2016 first rounder.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles Clippers guard Lance Stephenson has been traded to the Memphis Grizzlies for Jeff Green.

Markieff Morris, who has expressed dissatisfaction with his former team, was traded to the Washington Wizards for a pittance, a protected first round pick.

Randy Foye will be playing for the Oklahoma Thunder and D.J. Agustin was sent to Denver.

Kris Humpries and Dajuan Blair, who were never named in NBA trade rumors, will also be donning Phoenix uniforms following the trade deadline.

Orlando Magic center/forward Channing Frye will join Lebron James over at Cleveland, while seldom used Anderson Varejao, who lost his starting job to Timofey Mozgov, being sent to the Portland Trailblazers.

Meanwhile, the Blazers are reported to be waiving Varejao's over $9 million contract.

The Los Angeles Lakers also sent out feelers for center Roy Hibbert, but could not find any takers. As Ramona Shelburne reported, "Lakers have taken calls Hibbert, but don't intend to buy him out if they don't find a trade today."

Although Roy Hibbert was mentioned in some NBA trade rumors, the Lakers have managed to keep a low profile when it came to the talks.
