"Detective Conan" chapter 949 was recently released online via Manga Fox. The chapter continues the investigation with regards to the death of Hiyama Kunisiha.

Subaru asked Conan about his real identity but the latter responded that he will reveal more about himself after solving the case. The duo was able to question Senba Kazutoku, the neighbor who claims to have first seen the body.
Senba is experiencing pain because of the broken glass scattered on the floor that he actually stepped on. However, Subaru noted that he was actually holding his right leg even though his left stepped on the broken glass.
Senba was again asked to recount his first encounter with the body. While recalling the situation, there were some discrepancies on why he did not notice the broken glasses or even heard them when he opened the door. After claiming again that the door was already open before arriving, the statement aroused some suspicion.
The chapter ends with Subaru and Conan concluding that Senba is really the killer. They scoured the house and they were able to find some things that could be used in the murder. They also spotted something under the house after trailing the ants.
User Jetstream_Kage on Reddit speculated, "I'm thinking a jawbreaker in a ball thrower for extra power, he probably put the ball thrower next to the bathroom window before the check then when inside collect it combine the 2 with something to keep the jawbreaker in, after the murder he probably put it outside via the toilet window then moved it while every was distracted with the body."
Using a large hard candy is very likely given that Senba actually owns a sweets shop nearby. The next chapter will also reveal why Senba has to commit such a crime.
