The iconic Air Jordan 12 "Flu Game" shoes will have its comeback this 2016. This will purportedly be released alongside Air Jordan 12 "French Blue" and Air Jordan 12 "Cherry".

"Flu Game" was highlighted during Michael Jordan's famous game five game against Utah Jazz in 1997 where he made 38 points while feeling flu-like symptoms and leading his team to a win, according to Sneaker Bar Detroit.

Now the legendary shoes are set to have its release date on May 28 for a retail price of $190, according to Kicks on Fire.

It will retain the famous black and red colorway just like the first one. However, there are no words yet on whether the design will make use of leather or nubuck material for the 2016 edition. But according to Kicks on Fire, it will most likely be in leather material staying true to the original one.

It can be noted that the Air Jordan 12 "Flu Game" also had a retro release date in 2009 but the material featured was nubuck and not leather, as per Sole Collector.

This version apparently didn't meet OG standards thus the new edition to come this year is set to be a remastered version just like when they were OGs, according to Sneaker Bar Detroit.

Furthermore, the 2016 version will reportedly remove the smiley face design on the tongue and heel, which was present in the 2009 edition, per Sole Collector.

So for those who were put off with that detail before will be assured of a better Air Jordan 12 "Flu Game" shoe this year.

Kicks on Fire author, in his review, remarked, "Another colorway of the Air Jordan 12 that I'm excited to get my hands on. The Air Jordan 12 is gonna leave a big dent in my wallet this year, but what can we do right?"

Do you agree? Mark your calendars for its release date so you won't miss it!
