"Destiny" players have been anticipating for the eventual release of the sequel since the massive "Taken King" expansion.

Unfortunately, avid players of the game will have to wait a little bit more. According to the Financial Report of Activision through Business Wire, the sequel is expected to arrive in 2017 but a large sequel is in place to give players fresh content in anticipation of the Destiny's follow-up.

But even though the game is about a year away from its full release, new rumors about the upcoming game has surfaced.  Among them is the possible title of the upcoming sequel. Tech Insider reports that the sequel's title is "Destiny 2: The Shattered Suns."

The title is based on a leaked information on Reddit that was deleted but was later re-posted on the same site.

According to the Reddit Post by user The_Schnitz, "It is titled currently as 'Destiny 2 - The Shattered Suns' and is planned for release on September of 2016. You will still be using your current characters. It will focus heavily on Osiris and his endeavors as he is the main quest giver in the game."

Aside from the upcoming release of "Destiny 2", Bungie is also keen on improving their Matchmaking tool which should expand in the upcoming iteration of the game.

In their weekly blog post, Bungie updated their gamers that, "we've made some great strides to update Matchmaking over the last couple of weeks. For those of you just tuning in, Matchmaking itself is governed by some specific design goals: Ensuring you get into a match in a timely fashion, looking for a good connection, creating relatively balanced teams so players don't get stomped continually."

A new storyline with an improved matchmaking capability ensures that "Destiny 2" will be better than ever. Hopefully, the recently announced features will also get an initial release on the upcoming upgrade on "Destiny" this year.
