In a phone interview with New York Times, Noah Shebib, also known as 40 and musical partner of Drake, was working on another development of Drake's new album which is expected to be out by April this year.

"Views From The 6" is the new album title of Drake's forthcoming project.

Shebib revealed that Drake wanted to do something different with his next album, and this idea will transpire in "Views from the 6." He also revealed during the interview that the upcoming album started to be worked on after last summer both in his Toronto studio and in Drake's studio at his Southern California home.

"After 'Nothing Was the Same,' Drake was like, 'I want to do a rap project,'" 40 revealed. "He wanted to do what all the other rappers get to do." But that approach is "a thing we can't do that much on a Drake album," We have other fans we need to satisfy."

Asked on what the album may sound like, Shebib said that it's the usual that everybody expects but something special awaits the fans.

"It's going to be what everybody expects and wants from Drake and from us," Mr. Shebib revealed. "A lot of introspection, very vivid. He's discovering new flows, new cadences, new patterns. I'm trying to find ways to pull more untraditional sounds in, to push the boundaries a little further."

Though Shebib noted that music from the album still sound like how the previous albums were before, he revealed that "Something about it should be special," and somehow boundary pushing for the artist.

Though Drake has been reportedly going on a tour with J. Cole, fans will still most likely look forward to the release of his album. It will only be a few months from now, and surely, fans will be more than excited.
