"Teen Wolf" Season 5, Episode 18 titled "Maid of Gevaudan" will continue to shed more light to the Beast and its identity as Crystal Reed returns to play as Allison, a direct descendant of Marie-Jeanne Valet, who had once defeated the Beast of Gevaudan.

In its report, MTV said that "Teen Wolf" Season 5, Episode 18 is expected to provide more information about the Beast of Gevaudan as the upcoming installment will take the viewers to a flashback into 18th century France.

In the sneak peeks published by MTV, it is learned that from the Argents that the Beast is only getting smarter and stronger with each frequency-induced transformation. It added that the Beast yearns for its true identity.

Christian Today, in its report, also said that The Beast, being the most ferocious and the most famous werewolf in history, inspires terror from both humans and supernaturals. A huge number of hunters, including armies, royal huntsmen and civilians have tried to chase it down, but none was able to kill it.

The Beast, accordingly, is also feared by werewolves and chimeras alike in Beacon Hills. And while its identity is still unknown, Scott (Tyler Posey) and the pack already discovered that it is definitely human and that it lives in the Eichen House.

Meanwhile, in Season 5, Episode 18, viewers will be introduced to Allison Argent, who may be the one referred to as the "Maid of Gevaudan." Allison is a direct descendant of Marie-Jeanne Valet, who is like France's version of Joan of Arc. In the past, while she and her sister are crossing the River Desges, they were attacked by the Beast but Marie-Jeanne was able to defeat it with just a staff with a bayonet mounted at its end.

It is, furthermore, expected that Allison Argent will finally be the key to defeating the Beast and will provide the information on how to take down the Beast of Gevaudan.
