For those who have been wondering if "Cosmos" will still be coming back to Fox Network, good news awaits fans who anticipate the return of the said sci-fi show as its executive producer confirmed the show's been working on for its second season.
Neil deGrasse Tyson, executive producer of "Cosmos," recently confirmed a release date for the said show during his promotion of "Star Talk," Korean Portal reported.
The executive producer confirmed in a statement: "Iconic science show 'Cosmos a Spacetime Odyssey' isn't dead at Fox," Tyson said. "We should know soon, within a month possibility."
As for the details of the show's comeback, Neil said he is currently negotiating with Fox authorities to arrange the everything and to make sure preparations will be smooth sailing.
"Nothing's green lit, but we're getting the band back together and we're meeting with some of the heads of the Fox network by the end of the month," the 57-year-old further explained.
Additional reports confirm the show's sequel when Seth Macfarlane, former producer of the show, took the promotion to Twitter and the confirmation that it is currently in progress.
"Early, preliminary discussions for the 2nd season of #Cosmos-If you want to see more of the great @neiltyson, tweet him your love!" Macfarlane tweeted according to KpopStarz as reported by Korean Portal.
Korean Portal also added that "Cosmos" season two is expected to focus on current issues and the solutions needed to address them. Tyson also revealed that new science documentaries will be featuring a similar storyline along with the same visualizations configuration, animations and music.
There is no release date yet for the show's comeback, but this will probably be announced soon as time progresses and fans will just have to wait in a few months for the show to air again on television.
