"Reign" season 3 is just around the corner and new details about the upcoming run has recently surfaced on the internet.
Apart from the fans' anticipation of the new season, reports have somewhat gave avid viewers a scare when news about season 3 getting cancelled were hinted. After the first half of the current run ending in January, there has been a threat that it will no longer see the light of day. Thankfully, rumors were quickly averted when reports claimed that "Reign" season 3 will return on Apr. 25.
"Carter Matt reported that even though 'Reign' went on hiatus in January, fans will not have to wait too much longer to watch the rest of season three," Fashion & Style reported. "The CW recently announced that 'Reign' season three is going to return on Monday, April 25 and will replace "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend," as that show will have wrapped up its first season by then."
"Previously, 'Reign' aired on Friday nights and if the ratings improve in the show's new timeslot, then there is a good chance that the CW will renew it for a fourth season."
Meanwhile, it looks like everything is in place for the show's new episodes. Reports have confirmed that writers have already finished the script for the second-half of season 3, and it will definitely answer burning questions fans had after the mid-season finale.
"Mary, Queen of Scots will be facing a new enemy in her midst as John Barrowman graces Europe with his presence as Francis' killer," Jobs & Hire noted. "Mary doesn't seem to be running out of enemies because this time, her new foe is Scottish and he plans to take her down bit by bit, and it started with her deceased husband already."
