After 5 long years of hiatus, the American rock band, Red Hot Chili Peppers, is once again set to return to the limelight with its newest album in the line. Excited?
Apparently, the rock band is almost done recording their 11th studio album and guess what? It is said to be released not long from now.
In a separate report, Youth Health Magazine noted that the Red Hot Chili Peppers' drummer, Chad Smith, previously gave an update on their new album development.
Accordingly, the band had successfully completed recording a song in just four hours! Wait, what?
"Cut a new peppers song top 2 bottom in 4 hrs last nite! #onaroll," said Chad Smith.
The rock band, as noted by Consequence of Sound, have collaborated with producer, Brian Burton otherwise known as Danger Mouse, for their upcoming album.
"We had written two dozen songs before we got with him," Kiedis explained. "[Danger Mouse] is like, 'Let's keep a few of those, but let's go write all new songs in the studio.' We're looking at each other like, 'Dude, we kind of already wrote the songs, bro.' He's like, 'No, I like to write new ones in the studio.' So, in honor of accommodating this new process, we wrote all new songs, and it's a good thing we did," he added.
Well, it appears that the Red Hot Chili Peppers band are all set to once again rock the stage! Not to mention that frontman, Anthony Kiedis, just announced that the band is already wrapping up work on their new album.
"We're in the homestretch," Kiedis told Sex Pistols' Steve Jones on his Jonesy's Jukebox radio program. "I sang yesterday, I get a week off, I go back to finish. We're going to [go] back and listen to the songs and see if we can beat them."
Given the fact that the forthcoming album has yet to get a title or a specific release date, vast majority of the fans were hoping that Red Hot Chili Peppers band will finally announce it sooner or later in 2016.
