It is expected that the Rolling Stones new album might get released sometime in 2016 as work on the album has already begun.

Back in November, last year, members of the British rock band including Sir Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts recorded tracks for their new album in a London studio, reported RTT News.

The Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood had revealed, in an interview with ABC Radio last year that the band will record tracks for the new album soon.

"We'll maybe go in the studio in December and cut a few tracks and see what happens," he said. "We'll take it from there, see how it all goes. One thing at a time."

Furthermore, in an interview with Ultimate Classic Rock, frontman Mick Jagger even revealed that he already has a couple of songs lined up for the band to record.

"I've got a lot of new songs, and songs I've written over the last couple of years," Jagger said, about the new Rolling Stones album. "I've done really good demos for all of them, which I would love to record. I'd love to record a Stones album."

The new album will be the rock band's 30th studio album and the follow-up to their 2005 released hit album "A Bigger Bang."

Elsewhere, singer Elton John recently gave some advice to the Rolling Stones. He advised the band members to return back to their roots for their new album and to stop running after the latest musical trends.

"What I think the Rolling Stones should do is a great blues record, and go back to what they used to do - and do things like Come On - the Chuck Berry song like they did in their early career," John said, according to the Mirror.

"That is what they should do."

John claimed that the band still wants to be relevant on radio, but in reality they are not.

"I think Mick wants to still be relevant on the radio - well they are not," John added, reported NME. "And I think Keith would love to do a record like that. And that is what they should be doing."
