It has been only over a year when the first-generation Apple Watch was released and yet recent reports point out that Apple Watch 2 may be coming out really soon.

In its report, PC Advisor said that the Apple March event where Apple Watch 2 is expected to be unveiled is pushed back by a week. The report added that Apple Watch 2 entered trial production by the end of January 2016 and would be ready for launch on April 2016.

First generation Apple Watch manufacturer Quanta, which is said to have entered trial production of the second-generation smartwatches by January, is expected to be done anytime soon.

A report from Macworld, on the other hand, said that Barry Lam, the chairman of Quanta, noted that there will be a limited stock of the Apple Watch 2 near the end of the 2nd quarter in 2016 but there will be more stock becoming available in the 3rd quarter. Macworld, however, also reported that the release date of Apple's newest smartwatch will be on June 2016.

The report also highlighted a report by UnderKG saying that the original March 15, 2016 Apple event is pushed back by a week, making it to March 22, 2016. On the same event, new Apple Watch bands will also be launched including a black Milanese Loop band, new Sports band colors and an entirely new band created from a new material.

Meanwhile, Apple Insider said in its report that the tech titan company is also developing a new multi-function band as revealed in a patent recently awarded to Apple by the name of "Magnetic
Wristband."

The new band, as described in the report, is "comprised of two separate straps made from malleable material into which a series of magnets are embedded in alternating or varying patterns of polarity. The magnetic closure, accordingly, serves as both a protective encasement and a stand when not worn on the wrist.
