A few days more and "NCIS" will be having its 300th episode, Episode 18 of Season 13 titled "Scope," written by Gary Glasberg with Gina Lucita Monreal and directed by Tony Wharmby.

The official synopsis for "NCIS" Season 13, Episode 18 titled "Scope" (via Hollywood Hills) reads: "Gibbs is determined to connect with a wounded Special Ops sniper after a case requires the veteran's account of an ambush in Iraq."

In "Scope," the NCIS team will track down an old survivor in order to re-examine an ambush on a group of Special Ops snipers in Iraq. The reason for the re-examination is that, six months after the said ambush, an American couple is attacked in the same area. The key to the case is the lone survivor of the ambush, Marine Gunnery Sergeant Aaron Davis who will be played by Taye Diggs. Marine Gunnery Sergeant Aaron Davis, accordingly, is being treated for PTSD at the Walter Reed Medical Center.

According to MNR Daily, the 300th episode of "NCIS" will go musical as the upcoming episode will also feature the MusiCorps Band, whose music is used to treat injured soldiers and those suffering from PTSD.

Taye Diggs will portray a significant role as his character, Aaron Davis, is where the drama and the story will revolve around.

In an interview with TV Guide, Gary Glasberg said that Taye Diggs couldn't be more perfect for the role. And Diggs, being engaged in Hollywood musicals, could definitely do well in a musical episode.

"We needed a guest actor who could proudly portray one of our nation's wounded warriors as well as participate in a very touching musical performance," Gary Glasberg said. "This emotionally charged role is tailor-made for Taye Diggs."

The 300th episode of "NCIS", according to International Business Times, is also expected to drop major hints on the eventual departure of Michael Weatherly's Tony DiNozzo.
