Former UFC champion Ronda Rousey created a buzz recently when she posed nearly naked for Sports Illustrated's 2016 Swimsuit Issue.

Rousey posed twice for the magazine wearing body painted swimsuits. During the first photo shoot, the athlete suited up in a black and white painted swimsuit, while in the second shoot she wore a colorful painted swimsuit. She revealed on social media that makeup artist Joanne Gair helped her get the body painted look.

In a recent interview with Ellen Degeneres, Ronda Rousey discussed her experience of posing for Sports Illustrated's 2016 Swimsuit Issue.

"They gave me the heads up, I didn't just show up and have them tell me: 'Guess, what you're naked,' they can't do that!" Ronda told DeGeneres, according to People Magazine.

"I did 'swimsuit' the year before and of course, I wanted to do it again, and they said that they were offering all of the athletes the chance to do body paint with Joanne Gair, who did that famous picture of Demi Moore body-painted in the suit. And she's brilliant, she's a master of her trade, and I thought it was a real honor to be her canvas for once."

When asked about her experience of wearing a body painted swimsuit, Rousey said, "You can actually [sit on a toilet] because [the paint] dries really fast."

"They do lots of layers. But you know, you have to like, dab and not wipe. You don't want to undo - I don't want to take off a tiger whisker."

Rousey added that she became very friendly with Gair after the whole body-painting experience.

"It's a lady party in there, pretty much," the former UFC champion said, according to InStyle.

"They gotta paint all of you and there was one point where they're like, 'OK, bend over!' and [Gair's] like, 'There's no non-awkward way to do this' as she's filling in [laughs] ... it was weird. We were best friends by the time I got out of there. It's a real good icebreaker."
