Former Yankees star Derek Jeter's fiancée, Hannah Davis, recently graced the cover of Maxim magazine and in her interview, the future Mrs. Jeter revealed why she fell for her husband-to-be and finally said yes when Derek popped the question.
In her interview, Hannah Davis said that it was not Derek Jeter's fame or riches that made her say 'yes.'
"Trying to impress you with material things? I think that's lame," the supermodel said. "I wanted someone whose family is a big, important part of their life."
"I feel like I have to share every other part of my life," she added. "It's that one part that's a little bit of a mystery to people, but that's the way we want it. The only way to protect it is not to talk about it."
In other words, Hannah Davis really loved the Derek Jeter who is a family man and an extremely private person.
While there are no details yet for their upcoming wedding, Hannah Davis told Maxim magazine that she does not want to be stressed out with the preparations, which is why she is taking things easily.
"I'm not a worrier," Davis said. "There's no point. My philosophy is to let everyone else worry."
A source also told E! News that Jeter and Davis are definitely looking forward to tie the knot. "They are extremely excited and in love!" the source said.
"They can't wait to spend their lives together," the source added.
Davis also recently revealed that she will be wearing a creation of Vera Wang when she walks down the aisle to marry Derek Jeter.
"I don't know if I'll give too many details before the actual day, but I'm very excited that's she's [Vera Wang] designing the dress," she said (via Daily Mail).
In the same interview, Davis said that they are still in the "preliminary stages" of their preparations for the wedding.
