One of the original cast members David Hasselhoff has confirmed his appearance in "Baywatch" movie, which is scheduled for release on May 2017. The film version of the 1990s drama series will star Dwayne Johnson a.k.a. The Rock as Mitch Buchannon and Zac Efron as Matt Brody.
The 43-year-old actor will take over the role of the Hoff while the 28-year-old actor will take over the role of David Charvet. It is still not confirmed what David's role will be in the movie, but Dwayne was really excited to have the legendary actor part of the cast.
The Rock made the announcement that David Hasselhoff will be appearing in the "Baywatch" movie on Instagram. He shared a video of his Facetime with the 63-year-old actor talking about their collaboration.
"Come on man, Rock and the Hoff? I was BORN ready!" Hasselhoff said.
"He was born ready. There ain't no Bay without the Hoff. Baywatch, get ready world!" Johnson replied.
The Rock also revealed that the Hoff has been training hard and he’s been in his best shape as he has been in years. He can now take his shirt off as proudly as Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron. Apart from the two hunks, the film won’t be complete without the women in their red swimsuit which was made popular by Pamela Anderson, Alexander Paul, and Yasmine Bleeth back in the 90s.
